Your Guide to Showing Livestock at the Fair
All animals must follow the guidelines set forth in the rules of 4-H and FFA. A quick reference to ownership, possession, and other livestock requirements is available below.
Animal Identification
All animals showing at the Van Buren County Fair must be identified by May 15. For 4-H families, you may identify your animals through the 4-H Online system. Click on the link below for a guide on how to identify your animals. FFA exhibitors must contact the Van Buren County Extension Office.
Drug Affidavits
All market animals selling in the Livestock Auction Monday, must have a completed Drug Affidavit on file at the Van Buren County Extension Office. To download a copy of the form needed, click on the below links.
K-3 Open Livestock Shows
Youth in grades K-3 may participate in the K-3 Open Livestock Shows taking place during the 4-H/FFA Shows.
Rules to Participate:

The participant must be a member of a 4-H Clover Kid Club in Van Buren County.

A sibling/family member to the owner of the animal to be shown.

Have permission from the owner of the animal (signature on the form)

Have a completed permission form turned in to the Van Buren County Extension Office or to the Van Buren County Fair Board Secretary on or before July 2nd.

OR bring your own animal with health papers from a veterinarian.
